In this way table can interact with the person who is arranging objects on it. Knowing the limitations of intelligent algorithm in finding arrangers' intentions by recognizing similar patterns in arrangements, I tried to keep the interaction between the arranger and the product as implicit as possible.
The processor knows where each object is using data coming from sensors in the corners of table (to simplify the object recognition algorithm only a limited and predefined set of objects are allowed: a bowl, a ball and a cube) and using the coordination data computer algorithm generates the shadow of the objects artificially but slightly suppressing some physical rules of optics to implicitly gives an impression to the arranger.
