Several methods and tools were used for decomposition.

• Physically decomposing based on forms and material of a model of Wassily chair and rearranging those parts to build a new product.
• Decomposing and rearranging the structure of the chair while preserving side faces of it using an image manipulating tool and generating the 3D model based on those images.
• Decomposing it into elements based on the functionality of parts and rearranging those elements to get a new functionality of the whole object.
• De-contextualizing it but using almost the same object in a new and odd context for another purpose.
