Final Project - Individual Project

As my final project, I chose a topic, working on which would provide me with the chance to explore theoretical fields in design. I studied how a designed product could be broken down to its fundamental elements, deconstructed and the elements rearranged in a totally different order to yield another object, just the same as we do with words, to make or change a sentence.

I chose one of the most well-known objects in design history, Wassily chair, to do practical study alongside theoretical analysis. A designed product such as Wassily chair can be an isolated object, an equipment (in its general sense, as an entity we use for a specific purpose), a work of art and a symbol (representing the Bauhaus movement) all at the same time.
